MMPL Team Registration Update

- Pricing will remain at $155/team for this season. Team registration fees will not be due when you register your team this season. We are asking for all teams to please be registered via the link (https://forms.gle/nzEuRtGfTEznTExaA) by the end of the day on 3/14. Team registration fees can be paid (follow the info at the link above for how) at regular price until 4/18; after that the late registration cost will take effect ($200/team). Teams not registered by their first scheduled game will be dropped.

 

- We are really going to need the help of community coordinators in communicating info to all coaches this season. MMPL does NOT plan to have another community coordinator meeting, as it would just be going back over the rules changes and other items we have communicated already. We also do not see a way of holding a worthwhile virtual scheduling meeting, so the plan is to allow teams to schedule via phone and email like last year once divisions are known. We will plan to hold a virtual meeting for coaches that are new to MMPL to explain the details and answer questions normally covered at the scheduling meeting.

 

- There was a question about the USSSA bat rules for the U13 and U14 age groups. Our plan for this season is:

 Teams playing in the 13U division can use BBCOR -3 bats, USA bats, or USSSA BPF 1.15 stamped bats up to a -8.

 Teams playing in the 14U upper division can use BBCOR -3 bats, USA bats, or USSSA BPF 1.15 stamped bats up to a -5. 

 Teams playing in the 14U middle and lower division can use BBCOR -3 bats, USA bats, or USSSA BPF 1.15 stamped bats up to a -8.
